Viveca Sten debuted in the spring of 2008 with the crime novel "Still waters". This was the prelude to the hit series Murders in Sandhamn, which takes place in Stockholm's archipelago.

In 2020, Viveca started her new series, Åre murders, which has also become an incredible success story that topped the bestseller lists both in Sweden and abroad.

The book series have both become phenomenal sales successes, topping the bestseller lists time and time again. Viveca has sold more than 9 million books with publication in more than 40 countries: among others the Nordic countries, Germany, France, Japan, Holland, England and the USA.

TV4's adaptation of Murders in Sandhamn starring Alexandra Rapaport, Jacob Cedergren, Nicolai Cleve Broch and Jonas Malmsjö has been shown worldwide with more than 100 million television viewers as a result. In 2023, the television recordings of Åre murders began, which will be shown to an international audience.
